Douglas Cramer sold his Connecticut vacation home and auctioned off the contents in late June to 350 bidders, including decorators, private collectors, architects and dealers, who paid $625,743 for the lots at Stair Galleries in Hudson, NY, Upstate’s antiques and art hub.
Stair’s publicists write:
The highest sale was for an untitled signed and numbered screenprint of a spherical disc by British pop-artist Bridget Riley, which sold at $29,000. Other top price items included a signed Warhol “Flowers” print which sold for $20,000 and decorative items and furniture including a bronze figure of a moose head with antlers that sold at $20,000.
