ADAA Art Show Sales

Sarah Douglas gathers the sales at The Art Show uptown:

  • David Zwirner: two paintings from Alice Neel. “Nancy” (1980) had an asking price of $850,000 and “Ed Meschi” (1933), was price-tagged at $500,000.
  • Pace Gallery of New York, Beijing, and (soon) London sold out its booth of works by Chinese artist Zhang Huan, at prices said to range from $50-100,000
  • Sperone Westwater: Otto Piene‘s “Nachtsonne (The Moon Upon Which It Depends)” for $400,000
  • James Cohan had already parted with several works by Brooklyn-based artist Fred Tomaselli
  • D’Amelio Terras sold a new, cubistic Heather Rohe sculpture for $18,000 as well as a piece by Cornelia Parker (not on view) for $12,800.
