David Zwirner has works at Art Basel Unlimited and at booth G8 in the main fair:
Highlights at the booth will include new paintings by Luc Tuymans, whose retrospective Luc Tuymans: La Pelle runs through January 2020 at the Palazzo Grassi, Venice; Njideka Akunyili Crosby, whose work is featured in this year’s Venice Biennale; and Oscar Murillo, who was just nominated for the Turner Prize 2019. The booth will also include new work by Tomma Abts, Mamma Andersson, Lucas Arruda, Michaël Borremans, Toba Khedoori, Kerry James Marshall, and Lisa Yuskavage, alongside outstanding examples of work by Josef Albers, Donald Judd, Bruce Nauman, Sigmar Polke, and Gerhard Richter.
For this year’s edition of Unlimited, David Zwirner will present significant works by three gallery artists: the complete set of puzzles from 1987 to 1992 by Felix Gonzalez-Torres, which constitutes the first time all fifty-five of these important works will be shown together; Kerry James Marshall’s RYTHM MASTR Daily Strip (Runners) (2018) from his ongoing series that was featured at the 2018 Carnegie International; and a major interactive installation of sofas clad in colorful fabrics by Franz West that hasn’t been shown since it debuted at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, in 1994.
