
Artcurial has the collection of André Lejard for sale on June 4th. Lejard was the Editor in Chief ofArt et Métiers Graphiques from 1920 to 1950 and founded in 1941 the art book publisher Éditions du Chêne. The collection contains works by Picasos, Matisse, Braque, Derain, Laurens, Miró, Ernst and Tanguy but the big guns are four works by Fernand Léger.
The most valuable is the Mechanical Element, above, that has a $2.5-3.7m estimate. There are also three still lifes in the group. Two from 1937 and one from 1947. Three Flowers and Dominoes ($740-985k) and Still Life with Blue Vase ($1.12-1.24m). The final still life is Flowers and Dominoes ($495-740k)
