Art021

PIFO Dayu Yang

  • three small works by Kang Haitao selling for ¥4,000 ($600) each
  • a piece by Wang Shilong selling for ¥5,000 ($750)
  • two small works by Enrico Bach for ¥55,000 ($8,280) + two larger works
  • a large-scale piece by Haitao sold to previous clients.

High Art

  • two works from the gallery’s solo presentation of Aaron Garber-Maikovska for €35,000 apiece

HDM gallery

  • two watercolors by Barthélémy Toguo (Love Birds and Blue Man)
  • two canvases by Chao Lu (Elsewhere No. 7 and Elsewhere No. 5)
  • a mixed media piece by Wang Yi (Overlapping 2017-3).

Hauser & Wirth

  • $950,000 for a work by Paul McCarthy

David Zwirner

  • sold Lisa Yuskavage’s painting Scarecrow (2012) for just under $1 million
  • Rose Wylie’s two-part canvas Yellow Man & Liquer Bottle (2017) for $80,000
  • four new works by Lucas Arruda for between $45,000 and $55,000
  • pieces by Neo Rauch, Marcel Dzama, and Raymond Pettibon.

West Bund

Edouard Malingue

  • an aged mirror work by Su-Mei Tse selling for €18,000
  • three paintings from a wall of eye-themed pieces in different media by Laurent Grasso for €28,000 to €80,000
  • three paintings by Yuan Yuan for around €60,000 apiece
  • a photograph by Jeremy Everett for $8,000

Ink Studio 

  • sold one work each by artists Yang Jiechang, Li Jin, and Huang Zhiyang on opening day for prices on the range of $35,000–$60,000.

Hauser & Wirth

  • two sculptures by Louise Bourgeois, each for sums in the “multi-million-dollar” range
  • Two Arp bronzes sold for $1.2 million and $500,000, respectively
  • multiple works by Fausto Melotti for which prices were not disclosed. All of the works went to mainland Chinese collectors.
