Thaddaeus Ropac Hires Julia Peyton-Jones As Ambassador

June 23, 2017 by Marion Maneker

Julia Peyton-Jones is taking on another new project. The 65-year-old curator who built the Serpentine Gallery in London to prominence is joining Thaddaeus Ropac:

Dame Julia Peyton-Jones has been appointed Senior Global Director of Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac. Formerly Director of the Serpentine Galleries for 25 years, Peyton-Jones will take up her new position on 1 September 2017, and will be based in London, where the gallery opened a new space in Mayfair earlier this year.

Drawing on her vast curatorial experience, Peyton-Jones’ executive position will focus on the creative development of the gallery. She will work closely with the gallery’s international roster of artists and renowned artist estates, alongside Thaddaeus Ropac and his team of over 100 in four locations in London, Paris, Paris Pantin and Salzburg.
