
The scramble for artists’ estates continues as Hauser + Wirth picks up the Manzoni estate which had let its relationship with Gagosian lapse.
Hauser & Wirth has snared the Piero Manzoni Foundation from Gagosian gallery and will have the Modern Italian artist’s early “Achrome” (1958) on its fair booth this week. Marc Payot, partner and vice president of Hauser & Wirth, says the gallery is working with the foundation to produce a catalogue raisonné within two years and plans its first Manzoni exhibition in New York in 2018.
