
Sotheby’s and Christie’s both sold a number of small Nicolas de Staël paintings this week for serious six figure sums. So it shouldn’t shock us to learn that Sotheby’s has decided to take the curate sale to a different place. On June 21st in London, Sotheby’s will hold a sale of works smaller than a sheet of paper (11.6 x 8.9 inches or 29.6 x 40 cm.)
