Crillon Hotel Invests in Emerging Art

The Financial Times tucks the most interesting news into an after thought on the changing of the guard at Sotheby’s S|2 gallery. The art in hotels trend seems to be taking another leg up with this report that the Saudi royals are re-doing the Crillon Hotel in Paris as a destination for emerging art:

Fru Tholstrup […] is now working on a project for the Saudi royal family, helping them build a collection of emerging art for the historic rooms in their Hôtel de Crillon, Paris. This reopens in April 2017 after a big renovation.
