Christie’s Goes to Dubuffet for New York Sales

Brett Gorvy likes to keep his gets close to the vest. But today the NYTimes reveals that Christie’s will sell a Jean Dubuffet from the Paris Circus series in November:

The painting, “Les Grandes Artères” (1961) — which has resided in a private American collection since 1964 — is estimated at $15 million to $20 million. […]

“He’s incredibly undervalued for his overall position in art history, ” said Brett Gorvy, Christie’s chairman and international head of Post-War and Contemporary Art.
