Robin Pogrebin reveals that Timothy Taylor will open a tiny outpost of his London gallery in New York. Called 16×34 because of the Chelsea space’s dimensions, it will open in September:
“New York is the engine of the contemporary art world — it sets the tone for the market in many ways,” said Mr. Taylor, who has operated in London for 20 years and represents Diane Arbus’s estate, Alex Katz and Kiki Smith in Britain. “You have to be a part of it if you want to really feel what’s going on.”
