Sotheby’s just released the names of these new hires:
Peter Kloman
On July 6th, Peter Kloman will join Sotheby’s as a Senior Specialist for the West Coast based in Los Angeles. Peter has spent the past 16 years at Christie’s, with the better part of the last seven out in Los Angeles, partnering with key executives on significant consignments coming out of the region. Peter’s expertise spans the 20th century, with particular depth in American Art, having spent a number of years in the American department at Christie’s in New York before moving to Los Angeles.
Harrison Tenzer will join Sotheby’s this week as a Specialist in the Contemporary department. Harrison spent the last year as a New York-based fine art specialist at Wright auction house, following four years at Christie’s in the Post-War and Contemporary Art department where he held a number of positions that involved marketing, business-getting and cataloguing.
Harrison will be assuming the role on the Contemporary Day sale team formerly held by Colin Smith, who has recently relocated to Los Angeles, joining our team on the West Coast as a Contemporary Specialist.
Edouard Benveniste
At the end of 2016, we will also be joined by Edouard Benveniste, as a Senior International Specialist in the Fine Art Division. Edouard spent the past six years in the Post-War and Contemporary Art department at Christie’s in both London and New York, and when he arrives, he will be spearheading a number of initiatives that will support our auction, private sale and advisory businesses.
