UBS’s Corporate Art Collection Is Forming Team in Hong Kong to Acquire Asian Art

Mary Rozell became head of UBS’s massive art collection last Fall. Now she tells Barron’s that UBS is forming a team for acquisitions in Asia. That group will be based in Hong Kong:

some big international collectors are sharpening their focus on Chinese art. Swiss investment bank UBS’s contemporary art collection is among the biggest in the corporate world with about 30,000 pieces. Most are hung in corridors and board rooms, although some are stored. The collection’s head, Mary Rozell, [says] she’s putting a team in Hong Kong that will source artworks from China and elsewhere.
