Christie’s Scores Major Rubens for July

Peter Paul Reubens, Lot and HIs Daughters

Bendor Grosvenor reports in the Financial Times that Christie’s has landed a rarely seen work of Peter Paul Rubens now owned by the heirs of the Baron Maurice Hersch de Gereuth who bought the painting from the Duke of Marlborough in 1886. The painting, Lot and His Daughters, is estimated at more than £20m.
