Phillips held a lackluster sale to coincide with the Armory Week fairs in New York. The 26-lot evening sale had a 57% sell through and the day sale may have struggled to reach that figure. Phillips hasn’t released sales totals. Nor does it look like the firm is likely to. Not a great strategy for dealing with a sale that may the last vestige of the old regime.
