Paddle8 has made a new hire:

Stefany Morris has joined as our Head of Fine Art Auctions, overseeing all of Paddle8’s for-profit auctions of modern art, contemporary art, photography, prints and editions.

She joins Paddle8 with 15 years of experience in the worlds of art and auctions, including eight years at Christie’s, where she was the Vice President, Senior Specialist in Impressionist & Modern Art and the co-head of New York’s Day Sales and Works on Paper Sales from 2009 to 2014. In that role, she was directly responsible for securing and selling high-value property for the biannual sales, each grossing in excess of $30 million. Most recently, Stefany opened Waterhouse & Dodd’s New York gallery.

This hire reinforces Paddle8’s focus on fine art auctions. Paddle8’s for-profit auctions have grown 140% year-on-year. Stefany will oversee a team of a dozen specialists worldwide, and will be responsible for sourcing and selling works for Paddle8’s sales of Modern Art, Contemporary Art, Prints and Multiples, and Photography.
