Harry and Mary Margaret Anderson are legendary Contemporary art collectors who gave their extraordinary collection of Postwar American art to Stanford. But they got their start, like so many others, buying European works from the late 19th and early 20th Centuries. One of the overlooked features of this New York sale cycle is their sculpture collection being sold at Christie’s. The video Christie’s made for the sale is worth a long look.
