The Downside of Art as an Asset: Police Seize $30 Million in Art from Rapper to Cover $2m Debt

November 3, 2015 by Marion Maneker

TMZ says rapper Li’l Wayne got a visit from the bailiff’s looking for art to satisfye a judgment:

As TMZ reported, Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s deputies raided Wayne’s Miami Beach mansion Tuesday, armed with an order allowing them to seize Wayne’s property to satisfy a $2 million judgment Wayne owes to a private jet company.

We’re told Wayne has $30 million worth of art in the mansion, and cops took some of the pieces.

Our sources say cops brought along someone who valued the items inside the house so they could figure out what to seize.
