Phillips Day Sale Has Bosco Sodi Opportunity

October 8, 2015 by Marion Maneker

Bosco Sodi, Organic Blue

This 8 ft. piece by Bosco Sodi, Organic Blue,  was part of an exhibition at Kai Hilgemann Gallery in Berlin called ‘Here Comes The Sun’ in 2010. The show included 4 large circles red, blue, pink and green. The works followed an early show at Hilgemann where the artist made a massive wall of color from the same materials. The blue version of the wall was acquired by Eugenio Lopez’s Jumex Collection. Lopez flew to Berlin from Art Basel to see the piece in person.

This version is on offer for £30-50k which would seem like a good opportunity given the rise in Sodi’s prominence since it was made and sold. Public and private sales recently have have been three times this high estimate range
