April 13, 2015 by Marion Maneker

Twombly in Philadelphia Residence

A Cy Twombly blackboard painting with the artist’s desirable loops is reported to have been sold on the private market for $60m. Active Twombly collectors say that the work, once seen in this Architectural Digest photograph of a Philadelphia residence, sold near the mark set by Nicola Del Roscio, Twombly’s former assistant and head of his foundation, for a similar work he sold last November.
