Self taught Scottish art sensation Jack Vettriano saw his market tested yesterday at Bonhams. And though his prices are off the highs before the credit crisis, the numbers are not inconsiderable:
A private collection of 12 works by the Scottish artist Jack Vettriano has raised a total of £837,900 at an auction in Edinburgh.
The highest price was fetched by Waltzers, which sold for £236,500. Other highlights of the sale included The Road to Nowhere, which sold for £218,500, and The Missing Man II, which was bought for £112,900.
