Cui Ruzhuo Ink Painting Sells for $23.7m in HK at Poly

Poly Auction gets in on the action in Hong Kong:

Contemporary Chinese artist Cui Ruzhuo set a new auction record for his painting “Landscape in Snow” at Poly Auction Hong Kong’s April 7 sale, where it fetched a landmark price of HK$184 million (US$23.7 million). […]

Elsewhere, Poly raked in a total of some HK$600 million (US$77.4 million) in five other categories — Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Fine Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Chinese & Asian Modern and Contemporary Art, Important Jewels, and Important Watches.
