Curbed has a new twist in Manhattan luxury listings with a townhouse that will sell along with the furnishings and art (though you’ll see there really isn’t much art in the house):
The makeover itself isn’t enough to warrant the $27 million price tag, but the house comes with all of the furniture and artwork shown in the listing photos. Such as? Artwork by Anish Kapoor, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Piet Mondrian; books signed by William Faulkner, Norman Mailer, Truman Capote and Joan Didion; a Baccarat crystal chandelier; a gold-plated couch; and an oil painting by Frank Sinatra. The 5,129-square-foot house has an elevator, a secret garden-like backyard, six bedrooms, a library, and a wood-paneled study.
