Michael Gross has a new book on Manhattan’s social-climbing goal, 15 CPW, which contains a duplex owned by Sting:
designer Lee Mindel installed between the floors a tree-like column, curving grand red-carpeted staircase, and a spiral staircase in the kitchen, as well as a freestanding black-and-white spiral fireplace dividing their living room from their library, and garnished that with art that includes The Metaphysical Room, a 55-panel surrealist artwork by Piero Fornasetti, an Andy Warhol portrait of Queen Elizabeth and a painting by Basquiat, as well as a large, original print of the photograph on the cover of photographer Helmut Newton’s book White Women
