Ralph Lerner Suspended for Misconduct

October 30, 2013 by Marion Maneker

Ralph Lerner

Ralph Lerner has been disciplined for improperly charging clients for $50,000 in car-service rides for himself and his family over a decade’s time, Randy Kennedy reports in ArtsBeat:

In a ruling issued Tuesday by a panel of judges for the First Department of the Appellate Division of the New York State Supreme Court, the judges wrote that “the repeated and protracted” nature of Mr. Lerner’s misconduct warranted a year’s suspension rather than the six-month suspension that he sought. The opinion stated that Mr. Lerner had reported himself to a state legal disciplinary committee after his former law firm told him that it planned to do so.
