Picasso’s Rural Estate on Market for $220m

August 29, 2013 by Marion Maneker

Picasso's Mas de Notre Dame du Vie

Apparently the boom in Picasso prices extends beyond his works of art and now encompasses his real estate. Curbed has this fascinating listing of the master’s last residence which is being flipped for an asking price more than 8 times the investment:

Mas de Notre-Dame du Vie, the home and studio where legendary artist Pablo Picasso spent the last 12 years of his life, has returned to market after a thorough renovation by a Belgian art dealer, who restored and expanded the historic structure. The dealer, who paid somewhere between $13M and $16M, but is now asking an astonishing $220M for the 35-room villa.
