Kathryn Tully has a nice piece on Forbes talking about the rising prices for art works that use photography as a medium. It’s nice because the story is based, in part, on the Artelligence conference earlier this Fall. But also because of this stupendous quote from ATLAS gallery’s Ben Burdett which really applies across the entire art market:
“At auction, you see the same names, and indeed the same images by those photographers, sell again and again. People feel more comfortable joining a party where everyone is already having a good time.”
