Sotheby’s Income Drops 33% Year Over Year in Q2

Sotheby’s release 2nd Quarter earnings today:

  • Sotheby’s reported second quarter 2012 net income of $85.4 million, a decrease of 33% from the prior year period, and total revenues of $303.9 million, down 18%, when compared to the prior year period.
  • For the six months ended June 30, 2012, the Company reported net income of $74.8 million, a decrease of 42%, and total revenues of $408.9 million, down 16%, when compared to the prior year period.
