Christie’s First Open = $10.6m

March 7, 2012 by Marion Maneker

With 78% of the 252 lots offered finding buyers, Christie’s First Open sale made $10,621,000. $2.5 of that total came from 45 lots from the Peter Norton Collection. Sara Friedlander also pointed out that the sale had the most registered internet bidders for a Contemporary sale.

[Curious that phrasing, one would have thought these sales would be the most internet-bidder friendly.]
