Zwirner ABMB Report

December 1, 2011 by Marion Maneker

Like clockwork last evening, the David Zwirner Gallery announced ABMB sales only a few hours after the fair’s Vernissage opened. This year, the gallery featured new work by Carol Bove:

The major centerpiece of the booth — La Traversée Difficile — sold to  La Colección Jumex. The gallery sold out all the Carol Bove works (5) at the booth, at a price range of $60,000 – $150,000 USD. This is Zwirner’s first presentation of Bove’s work since the gallery announced in October the co-representation of the artist in partnership with Maccarone in an innovative model in which the two New York galleries will collaborate to help the artist realize future projects and exhibitions both in the United States and abroad.
