ABMB Sales: The Art Newspaper

The Art Newspaper gathers a few sales in stories emphasizing other aspects of the fair:
  • Cheim & Read:  sold a bright painting by Tal R for $95,000 and placed Louise Bourgeois’s Life Flower, 1960, priced $650,000, with a New York collector.
  • Alison Jacques: two works by Lygia Clark for between €195,000 and €275,000 before the fair opened.
  • Casa Triângulo: Passeio Noturno (Night Walk) , 2011, a large-scale painting by Eduardo Berliner, for $24,000, and Untitled, 2011, a canvas by Mariana Palma, for $36,000, both to private Brazilian buyers.
  • Metro Pictures Gallery: Claire Fontaine’s I was allowed to have any feeling I had, 2011, for $28,000 to a private European foundation.
