This Maurizio Cattelan work Frank and Jamie comes from an edition of three with an artist’s proof. Last night a telephone bidder paid $2.3m for the piece.

  • In November, 2010, an example sold for $1.594m at Phillips in New York
  • In June, 2010, one sold for $1.026m at Christie’s in London
  • Four years earlier in June 2006, one sold for $740k at Christie’s in London
