New York Prints Week = $24,167,356

The IFPDA Print Fair opens tonight as the final event in a week of print sales that saw a Picasso print featured as one of the top lots in Christie’s Impressionist and Modern sale and made a record price for any single print. Those sales totaled $24m with a break down as follows:

Sotheby’s: $9,793,941: selling 72.5% by lot

Christie’s $9,231,275: selling 87% by lot and value

Swann Galleries: $2,763,140; 541 lots offered; 397 sold (27% buy-in rate by lot)
