Phillips de Pury Goes to Kassay Again

Not quite as sought after as their larger kin, Jacob Kassay’s silver paintings remain objects of market fascination. Will they keep attracting bids and buyers? Phillips de Pury aims to find out with a 14 x 10 inch version in its upcoming September 23rd Under the Influence sale:

 

Though the larger size works have sold for as much as $232,000, the highest price achieved at auction for this size silver work was $30,000 during May’s day sale at Phillips de Pury.
