Sotheby's Says HK Sales 2x 2010 So Far

Sotheby’s dropped a little PR grenade on Christie’s Hong Kong auction cycle with this announcement made on the back of the spectacularly successful Mei Yun Tang sale of  Zhang Daqian’s work:

Sotheby’s Hong Kong auction sales doubled in the first half to HK$4.3 billion ($540 million) from the same period a year ago as demand rises, Patti Wong, chairwoman of Sotheby’s Asia, said today.
