Christie’s announced today a red version of the massive 1986 ‘fright wig’ self portrait by Warhol that will lead their PWC sale. The work is estimated at $30-40 million. That’s against the $32m price Tom Ford Got for his purple version of the work last year.

Perhaps more significant, unlike the Liz portrait at Phillips de Pury, there is no guarantee on the work.
