Sotheby's Great Perino Del Vaga Week

Yesterday’s Sotheby’s sold Perino Del Vaga’s drawing of “Jupiter and Juno Reclining” for a record price of $782,500 to the Metropolitan Museum of art.

Today, Sotheby’s scored again with the Met, according to Carol Vogel. The museum paid $2.098m for the artist’s Holy Family with John the Baptist which had been estimated for a tenth of that amount:
