Park West Wins and Waits

January 18, 2011 by Marion Maneker

We can’t quote from Crain’s Detroit about Park West’s roster of law suits because the article is behind a pay wall. But we can summarize what it says. The Michigan gallery had a Federal lawsuit claiming infringement by artist Alejandro Perez Gabay dismissed in late December.

That same month, another suit concerning its business practices was essentially broken up though many of the parties were given the opportunity to re-file.

Now two other suits remain. One is a retrail of Park West’s own suit against the Fine Art Registry; the other is class-action suit against the gallery that is coming to trial in Seattle.
