VIP Art Fair Gets More than Dealers

November 29, 2010 by Marion Maneker

Kate Taylor reports that the VIP Art fair is claiming 139 galleries will be participating in January’s fair. At a minimum of $5000 per gallery, the fair is doing well on the dealer side though there’s no early indication how many viewers will pay the $100 to communicate with the dealer or dealer’s representative.

But the organizers are adding more than just art:

AXA Art Insurance Corporation will offer information about art insurance to fair visitors, and the PBS program “Art21” will provide videos of studio visits with major artists and tours of major private collections.
