Emmanuel Di Donna got married this year and left his job at Sotheby’s where he worked for 17 years to go into business for himself. This weekend, The Art Newspaper revealed that his new venture would be a secondary market dealership in New York working with Harry Blain who is also opening a primary gallery in New York with his former Haunch of Venison partner, Graham Southern:
Blain Southern also plans to open in Berlin. “Blain Southern focuses on the primary market and our artists, and Blain Di Donna focuses on Impressionist, Modern and secondary-market contemporary works,” said Blain. “There is a clear delineation between the two,” he said, adding: “I’ve certainly got a lot on my plate right now!”
