Paris Theft Revised Downward

May 23, 2010 by Marion Maneker

NPR now values the stolen art from the Paris Museum of Modern Art at $130m after widespread press reports of €500m value to the works:

In Paris, one of the world’s biggest art heists was not exactly a mission impossible escapade. The theft of a Picasso, a Matisse and three other masterpieces was discovered yesterday at the Paris Museum of Modern Art. Collectively, the pieces are valued at more than $120 million.
