Klee Flies to Montreal for 20 Years

The Associated Press reports on a stolen Paul Klee painting that suddenly turned up after 20+ years:

Federal agents have recovered a painting by Swiss artist Paul Klee (KLAY’) that was stolen from a New York City art gallery in 1989. The agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement recovered the painting by the neo-impressionist from a Montreal gallery. The painting is called “Portrait in the Garden” and is from 1930. It was stolen from the Marlborough Gallery in New York in 1989.
