Sotheby's London Imp/Mod Day Sale Highlights

Sotheby’s had another strong sale today as many names in the Impressionist and Modern day sale saw sustained interest and action. The total for the day was £17,558,700.

Some of the artists with works selling well above the estimate range were Metzinger, Archipenko, van Dongen (including a canvas that sold at 4 times the high est.), Chagall, Picasso (whose Tete de Homme sold for 3 times the high and 1967 mousquetaire that made nearly twice the high est.), Lèger, Miró, Magritte, Ernst, Marini, Henri Martin, Nolde and Kandinksy.
