Irving Penn's Assistant Sells

February 3, 2010 by Marion Maneker

The AP reports that Irving Penn’s former assistant has put up a cache of 67 photos for sale at Christie’s in the house’s April 14 sale. Penn died last year during the photography sales at the age of 92:

The photos are from the collection of Penn’s personal assistant Patricia McCabe. They were gifts from the artist over 30 years and were inscribed to her.
