Christie's NY Fall Imp/Mod Preview

Christie’s has released their sales roster for this November’s Impressionist and Modern sale. Conor Jordan has corralled 40 works with a combined estimate of $68m.

The top lot is a Picasso Tête de Femme from 1943 that has been estimated at between $7 and $10 million. About what one would pay for a late musketeer. There’s a Mondrian Composition II, with Red that has a $4.5-$6.5m price tag; and one of the last works that Matisse created, Rosace which as a maquette for a stained glass window commissioned by the Rockefellers.
