Heritage Sells Mitchell

October 8, 2009 by Marion Maneker

Joan Mitchell, Petit Matin This Joan Mitchell painting, Petit Matin, was sold by Heritage in Dallas yesterday for $262,900. It was one of the 86 works sold in their 132-lot sale (that’s around 65% sold.) Though few other works in the sale even came close to this price level, it does support Heritage’s contention that they have strong contacts through their collectible consignors to bring in important works by major artists.

More details on the sale results here.
