David Zwirner Gallery will be on stand G15 (though the gallery’s site says G14 which can’t be very far away) at the Frieze Fair next week, here’s the message the gallery sent it out this week:
Our stand is centered around Wonderland (2007), Luc Tuymans’ large scale painting depicting his unique interpretation of the Alice in Wonderland attraction at Disneyland. Tuymans is currently the subject of a major retrospective, now on view at the Wexner Center for the Arts, Columbus, Ohio, and in 2010-2011 touring to SFMOMA; Dallas Museum of Art; MCA, Chicago; Palais des Beaux Arts, Brussels, Belgium.
Also at Frieze is Fire (2007), a six-part sculpture by John McCracken that was first exhibited at documenta 12. McCracken’s work was on view throughout the summer in a critically acclaimed solo show at Inverleith House at the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh. We are also exhibiting Also sprach Allah (2008) by Adel Abdessemed; Harmlos (2002) by Neo Rauch; along with a group of paintings by Alice Neel, including her 1982 portrait of the performance artist Annie Sprinkle.
