Several missed lots and low sales until . . .

Lot 7 Murakami LV logo squeaks over high est. for $13,750

Lots 6 & 8 Yoshitomo Nara works sold without reserve go for nearly nothing.

Lot 9 Finally a Nara that makes a decent price: $25k premium price against $20k estimate.

Raymond Pettibon not having a great day at Sotheby’s

Lot 23 Victor Vasarely, a regular star of these sales, makes $80,500 against $50k high est.

Lot 12 Yayoi Kusama makes $34,375 above the $25k est.

Lot 30 Nathan Oliviera comes through with a $46,875 premium over the $40k est.

Rest of Warhol works on paper and early paintings sell around estimate levels

Lot 44 Gary Hume sold without reserve goes well under at $12,500 against $30k low est.

Lots of buy ins, Condo up and down.

Lot 64 Twombly work on paper sold without reserve comes in just below the low estimate on the hammer price.

Lot 67 Gottlieb continues to have good sales with this gouache on paper making the high est.

Lot 69 Mark di Suvero sculpture gets a nice boost over the $60k high est. to sell for $80,500

Lot 71 Calder Brooch: no takers at $30k low est. and is bought in.

N08568-84-lr-1Lot 84 despite a number of other works selling below the estimates, this Theodoros Stamos (right) sells for $74,500 more than 2x the high est.

Lot 92 Jules Olitski gets a good pop to $46,250 against the $25k high est.

Lot 94 Kenneth Noland from Palm Springs Art Museum deaccessioning shoots over the $15k est. to reach $34,375

Lot 95 Ray Parker attracts enough bids to sell for $50k against $20k est.

Lot 109 George Herold doubles the high est. to $23,750.

Lot 115 Jim Campbell also doubles the high est. to a respectable $31,250

N08568-125-lr-1Lots 123, 124, 125 and 128 Conrad Marca-Relli follows up yesterday’s big pop with three decent sales, two nicely above the high estimate including the untitled work (right) that sold for $43,750, just above the hammer price high est. of $35k.

Lots 129 & 130 two DuBuffet works on paper from estate of Grace Hokin sell for nice numbers above the estimate for prices on either side of $50k

Lot 134 Phillipe Hiquily Two Marionettes doubles the high est. to $43,750.

Lot 140 Imi Knoebel Grace Kelly tops the $15k high est. by a strong margin at $40,625

Lot 143 Manolo Millares sells for $50k
