Publishing executive Bill Reilly’s estate is selling the contents of his Manhattan home in October at Christie’s there’s a range of sculpture and furniture as well as some Old Master works that should realize $7-10m.

“The works being sold in January are mainstream, very high-quality old masters,” said Nicholas Hall, international director of the old master and 19th-century art department at Christie’s. “And the collectors for these works are concentrated in New York for that January sale week in a way they are not any other time of the year.”

Among the highlights is “A View of the Piazza del Popolo, Rome,” by the 17th-century Italian master Giovanni Paolo Panini, which is estimated to bring $600,000 to $800,000. “It’s one of his most celebrated views,” Mr. Hall said.
