Cool Indian Art for Hot British Summer

Maharaja's ArtThe British Museum is showing 54 works from the Indian Maharaja’s as part of it’s increasingly popular shows of Indian art from all periods that go on display for the museum’s Indian Summers exhibition from May to October:

Garden and Cosmos — The Royal Paintings of Jodhpur has been billed as an “exceptionally rare” opportunity to see a unique type of Indian painting from the 17th to 19th centuries. […] Richard Blurton, curator at the museum’s department of Asia, added: “Court paintings of this subject matter, intense colour juxtaposition and size are exceptionally rare.”
